Software & Setup Instructions

We offer two display models: 3.5-inch and 8.8-inch. Please follow the instructions below for your specific product.

Reminder: Please do not remove the screen protector if you plan to return the display.

Section 1: 3.5-Inch Display Setup

Step 1: Download and Run the Software

  1. Go to www.turzx.com (or use the direct link above) to download the 3.5-inch driver software.
  2. Unzip the downloaded package, then locate the folder.
  3. Right-click UsbMonitor and select “Run as administrator” to launch the software.

Step 2: Theme Settings

  1. Screen Flip (0 or 180 Degrees): Adjust if you need to invert the display.
  2. Theme Selection: Click the drop-down to switch between different themes.
  3. Custom Information: Enter details like CPU model (e.g., “9900K”).
  4. Status Bar Styles: Adjust background/foreground colors to customize the look.

Step 3: Startup and Settings

  1. Settings Button: Click “Settings” in the interface to open configuration options.
  2. Self-Start at Boot: Check the box if you want the display to launch when your PC starts.
  3. Network Card: Choose which network card to monitor, then restart the software for changes to take effect.
  4. Weather Forecast: Enter your city, click Search, pick from the list, then Save.
  5. Switch Sensor: Select the sensor (CPU, GPU, etc.) you want to monitor.

 

Troubleshooting (3.5")

  • If the .NET component is missing: Visit Microsoft .NET Framework to download and install the required version.
  • If the device isn’t connected:Check your cables and USB ports for proper power supply.Make sure “Windows Management Instrumentation” is running. If not, restart your service.
  • Software can’t start or connect:
    Try re-plugging the USB. Check BIOS settings (enable ERP or similar power management if needed).
  • CPU temperature inconsistent with other software: Different monitoring programs may use different sensors. Minor differences are normal.

Section 2: 8.8-Inch Display Setup

Download & Run the Software

  1. Go to www.turzx.com (or use the direct link above) to download the 8.8-inch driver software.
  2. Unzip the software package, open the directory, and double-click UsbMonitorS (or usbinmonitor.exe).
  3. Connect the secondary screen to your computer.
  4. Wait a few seconds; if prompted about missing components, install them as instructed. Then click Run.

Home (Main Interface)

  1. Theme Choice: Click the drop-down to switch between different themes.
  2. Set Video/Image: If it prompts about insufficient space, delete some files in “Device Management”“Internal Storage”.
  3. Brightness & Background: One-click to set your background video or picture. Drag the picture/video to reposition if needed.

2. Device Management

  1. Refresh Storage: Check current storage in “Device” → “Refresh Storage.”
  2. Paths: You’ll see multiple paths (internal, SD card, etc.).
  3. Upload/Play: Select a file, click Play, or set it as default for the next boot.

How to Upload and Play Videos

  1. Choose “SD card/video” or the internal path.
  2. Click “Upload” and select the video file.
  3. Once uploaded, click Play to preview, or set it as the default to play automatically on boot.

How to Set the Boot Loop (Video)

  1. Select “Play video” in the secondary screen’s startup mode.
  2. From the file list, choose the video you want.
  3. Click “Save Settings”, then restart the secondary screen.

How to Set the Boot Loop (Photo)

  1. Select “Carousel” in the secondary screen’s startup mode.
  2. Click “Save Settings”, then restart the screen to begin the slideshow.

3. Theme Edit

  • Create/Edit Themes: Add custom widgets, text, or visuals to match your style.

4. Settings

  1. Start at Boot: Check the box if you want the screen to load automatically when your PC turns on.
  2. Monitor Network Card: Choose which network card to track.
  3. Weather Forecast: Enter your city, click Search, then Save.
  4. Sensor Switch: Select different hardware sensors (CPU, GPU, etc.) for monitoring.

5. Troubleshooting (8.8")

  1. If you’re stuck on initialization: Open the code.ini file, change 64 to 0 or 3192, save it, and restart the software.
  2. If .NET component is missing: Install from Microsoft .NET Framework.
  3. Device not connected: Check cable and power supply.
  4. RGB lighting conflict: Close other RGB software to avoid conflicts.
  5. Inconsistent CPU temps: Different software can read different sensors, so minor variations are normal.
